Total sheets is how many press sheets you need. Paper weight is the total mass of paper for the run. Use this for ordering paper and planning logistics.
Wrong imposition (e.g. 16 vs 8) doubles or halves sheet count. Using trimmed page count instead of printed pages (including blanks) also causes errors. Add waste allowance for makeready and spoilage.
